Your gift helps to maintain one of Leadville's best outdoor resources.

The Mineral Belt Trail is an 11.6 mile all-season non-motorized ADA accessible route with numerous trailheads and access points. The trail meanders through the historic Leadville Mining District, offers unsurpassed views of the Sawatch and Mosquito ranges, and pours forth a wondrous, authentic experience only found in Leadville, Colorado. The trail is designed for bicycles, walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, in-line skaters and  long-boarders. Wintertime enthusiasts will find a snow-groomed loop - inviting freestyle and classic Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and winter biking.

The Mineral Belt Trail Board, committee(s), and volunteers comprise an advisory board to the Lake County Board of County Commissioners, and are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

Mineral Belt Trail Commemorative Nameplates 

Trail users are invited to opt for a personalized nameplate or commemorative message to create a lasting tribute along the MBT. Nameplates and message plates decorate the trail huts and shelters found along the loop. Messages are etched into weather-resistant material, and add to the ever-growing story of the Mineral Belt Trail. Small nameplates are $100; large nameplates are $200.
